Pursuant to the requirements of the District of Columbia Open Meetings Act (D.C. Official Code § 2-571 et seq.), notice is hereby given that a Special Meeting of Advisory Neighborhood Commission ANC 8A is being called.
The Special Meeting previously held on March 30, 2026, did not comply with the statutory notice requirements of the District of Columbia Open Meetings Act. Accordingly, any actions taken at that meeting, including all motions, deliberations, and votes, are deemed invalid and without legal effect.
This Special Meeting is therefore convened to cure the prior notice deficiency and to ensure full compliance with applicable open meetings laws and parliamentary procedures.
The purpose of this meeting is to consider and take action on time-sensitive matters, including but not limited to grant applications and outstanding invoice payments, and any related administrative actions necessary to ensure continuity of Commission operations.
Due to the Commission’s scheduled recess during the month of April, delay in addressing these matters would result in operational and financial delay.
This meeting will be conducted in accordance with the open meetings requirements of the Sunshine Act, including requirements for public notice, transparency, and public participation.
